I have two more beautiful seniors to introduce for November, Adopt-a-Senior-Dog month! Meet Maggie, an “11-ish”-year-old black lab mix who is truly her mom’s heart dog: Maggie was a stray would found her mom in the woods during a hiking trip and from that moment, never left her side. She’s a calm, sweet girl and (I think) much younger than 11. Her new brother Murphy, also 11-ish, just joined the family three weeks ago from Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta and is adjusting fabulously. Even though he doesn’t quite know his name yet, he sticks to his new mom and dad like glue and can already traipse around off-leash in the yard with them!
See what I mean about Maggie? Such a puppy face — how can she be 11?!

Murphy has the coolest tongue ever — it splits into a heart shape at the tip!

He also has one of the funniest affinities for car rides I’ve ever witnessed — of course just about every dog loves car rides, but this is different. The second he sees any parked car in the driveway, he forgets everything else that happens and runs around it in circles, grinning ear to ear. He even did it with my car!
