Lonnie & Sam are a 15-month-old literal sister and brother pair; when their parents went to pick out Lonnie from the litter, they couldn’t resist bringing Sam home as well! Lonnie and Sam are two peas in a pod — they follow each other everywhere, copy each other, and (lucky for me!) pose together. They are perfect little guard dogs who also know when it’s time to relax and their mom and dad have been amazing with their training; I think during the course of our session we inadvertently taught them a couple random commands for the sake of a shot; that’s how quick they learned.
I also got to meet a kindred spirit in their mom — another dog convert who had the terrible misfortune (as I did) to grow up without dogs. It’s always fun to revel together how we could have missed out on something so amazing for so long, and remained so unaware of the inexplicable joys a dog brings into a home.
But our lives are whole now.

So you can keep them straight, here’s Lonnie first:

And Sam:

Thanks, Lauren, for such a fun session — you guys were amazing!
