Welcome to the blog — thanks for visiting! I’ve been a pet photographer in Atlanta for four years and feel so lucky to have the amazing privilege of meeting and capturing the sweet spirits of the dogs that bring so much into our lives.
Crazily enough, I didn’t grow up with pets (my little sister got a guinea pig a couple years before I left for college, but that was it) but as soon as I graduated from college I felt compelled to adopt a dog; I was on my way to a dachshund rescue, saw Sienna waiting in a little crate outside a Petsmart during one of those weekend adoption events, and my previous life was over as I knew it! (I never made it to the dachshund rescue — and I thought Sienna looked like a dachshund, if that gives you an idea of how little I knew about dogs!)
About a year later we adopted Becks from Atlanta Pet Rescue and it was his uniqueness (dachshund + golden retriever mix) that compelled me to capture every moment, every look, because I knew I would never know another dog like him.
*ETA: And in February 2010, we officially became a three-dog family with the addition of Ellie from Atlanta Pet Rescue!
So what I lack in time I am making up for in intensity!

I frequently donate my services to local animal shelters, so if you are affiliated with an organization or know of one that could use my help, please send me an email. A few times a month I also feature dogs and cats awaiting adoption at Atlanta Pet Rescue or Fulton County Animal Services on the blog, so I hope you’ll enjoy those posts and spread the word!
I earned a photojournalism degree from the University of Georgia and am a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA). My work has been voted Best Pet Photography in Atlanta, and has appeared in various local and national publications, including The Bark, Urban Dog, and Tails magazines.
Also, an answer to one of my most frequently asked questions: “how do you pronounce your name?!” My first name is pronounced “LEE-see-uh,” like Alicia without the A at the beginning. And my last name is even easier — “Teh” just rhymes with “hay.” But I get every variation you can think of, so no worries, I answer to just about anything, including “hey, you with the camera!”
