Update 5.18.09: If you missed the previous showings, the feature will be re-airing nationally on WGN American on Sunday, May 24th at 11 am ET, and Monday, May 25th at 3 am ET for those of you on the west coast.
Update 10.25.08: The show aired today on WGN, but at the end of the special the show had technical difficulties and the last 8 minutes didn’t air — including the last part of my segment. :( However, there will be another national airing on Saturday, November 22nd, 1 pm EST (same channel, WGN America)!
Since late May, I’ve been involved in a really cool project with a national television show. Although it’s been fun, I’ve been totally out of my element — in June, a tv crew came to Atlanta to film my story as one of seven vignettes that will celebrate the theme “pets and people make life better together.” I also had to do some seriously nerve-wracking radio interviews to promote the show, which aired nationally on October 25th.

As part of the television show “4+2: Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart,” artist C.F. Payne was commissioned to create not only the show’s title illustration, but a piece for each of the seven vignettes featured. When this signed print arrived, I knew I just had to share it! I love Payne’s caricature-esque style…and I love my little monkey! (He wore a bow tie in our wedding last year in case you’re wondering where that came from.)
